Open Educational Resources
NSUWorks collaborated with Dr. Michael Simonson, a faculty member in the Fischler College of Education, to host short videos created to enhance the textbook Teaching and Learning at a Distance, Foundations of Distance Education.
The main page linking to each chapter’s videos also links to the textbook publisher’s site, so students can easily buy the book. The publisher links back to Dr. Simonson’s videos, increasing the book’s exposure.
In addition, NSUWorks currently hosts two open access monographs published by TQR:
- Recursive Frame Analysis: A Qualitative Research Method for Mapping Change-Oriented Discourse
- The Edward Bliss Emerson Journal Project: Qualitative Research by a Non-Hierarchical Team
NSUWorks hopes to collaborate with additional faculty to add more open educational resources. If you are an institution interested in hosting this type of material, they highly recommend Digital Commons’ OER capabilities.
