Hurricanes 2024
Due to the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, executive orders have been entered as follows to ensure that residents in those areas in affected counties still have the ability to vote:

Florida law allows 3 options to vote.
- Voting by mail. Vote-by-mail requests are not processed at the state level but by the county supervisor of elections in your county of registration.
Attention: If you have to make a change your address to receive a vote-by-mail ballot due to the Hurricane’s impact, please contact your county supervisor of elections’ office as soon as possible. The deadline to ask for a vote-by-mail ballot to be mailed for the 2024 General Election is October 24, 2024. You can still request a ballot for pickup within 10 days of the election, but you must execute a special emergency affidavit.

- Early voting. The 8-day mandatory period is from October 26 – November 2, 2024. Additional optional days may be offered by your county, starting as soon as October 21, 2024. A registered voter may vote at any designated early voting site in his or her county. Visit Early Voting for more information or contact your county supervisor of elections’ office.
- Election Day. Election Day is November 5, 2024. To vote on election day, you must vote at your assigned precinct. For up to date information, visit your county supervisor of elections’ website or select the link for your specific county on our webpage for Voter Precinct Lookup.
