The FLYP Side - Caregiving Youth

One population that can benefit greatly from the support and community connection that libraries provide is youth who have taken on the responsibility of caring for other family members. According to the American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY), there are over 5.4 million caregiving youth in the United States.

Caregiving youth are people under the age of 18 years who provide care or support to family or household members who need assistance due to ill-health, disability, or age-related decline or other health conditions.

Join this webinar for FLYP updates and to hear from Dr. Ann Faraone, Director of Education Services with AACY, about the resources and programs provided by AACY and how public libraries can support caregiving youth.
