The FLYP Side - Teen Advisory Boards
Sometimes called Teen Advisory Groups, Teen Advisory Boards (TABs) are often a vital core of youth volunteers in our public libraries that can help guide, plan and promote library programming. Lisa Calvert, Assistant Branch Manager and Youth Services Librarian at the Southeast Branch of St. Johns County Public Library System will share all about how their TAB grew from four members to a thriving and motivated group of teens.
Whether you’re looking to amplify teen voices in your library for the first time or you have a long-standing TAB that is a cornerstone of your programming, we want to hear your experiences! Bring your stories, questions and ideas as we explore practical ways to build and sustain meaningful connections with the young leaders in our communities.
Join your fellow Youth Services staff from across the state to celebrate successes, share programming ideas and brainstorm solutions to challenges. These sessions are general discussions, so bring your thoughts, questions and ideas.
