Election Administration and Voting Survey
Pursuant to federal law requirements under the Help America Vote Act (HAVA; 52 U.S.C. 20922), the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA)(52 U.S.C. 20508), and the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA)(52 U.S.C. 20301), the U. S. Election Assistance Commission collects data and responses from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, America Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands as relates to election administration following each general election year. The primary survey instrument is called the Election Administration and Voting Survey (EAVS). The results are compiled into a comprehensive report. General Election Summaries - Historical
The report series was derived from county data provided in response to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission Election Administration and Voting Survey (EAVS) for General Elections. Numbers for ballots cast specifically reflect voting history for all persons who voted or attempted to vote whether registered or not. While these summaries are no longer separately compiled, the links above provide direct access to the underlying datasets, reports, and Florida-specific data briefs relating to the EAVS.
