MEDIA ADVISORY: Secretary of State Ken Detzner Announces Dignitary Dive Day
The Florida Department of State welcomes dignitaries, media and the public to the Dignitary Dive Day Press Conference and Dive Excursion, showcasing the Florida Panhandle Shipwreck Trail - a journey under the sea offering diving, snorkeling and fishing opportunities among 12 sunken shipwrecks and artificial reefs along Pensacola, Destin, Panama City and Port St. Joe. Highlighting the promotional launch to drive tourism 'Beyond the Beaches' of Florida's Panhandle, Secretary of State Ken Detzner shares the multi-faceted marketing campaign - utilizing funds received from a BP Promotional Grant - featuring the Shipwreck Trail during a brief press conference, followed by a Dive Excursion to the San Pablo site.
The Dignitary Dive Day Press Conference and Dive Excursion recognizes all of the Florida Panhandle Shipwreck Trail partners - dive shops, destination marketing organizations, dignitaries and the general public - all collaborating to preserve and promote Florida's deep maritime history.
