Administrative Code and Register
The Department of State’s Administrative Code and Register Section is the filing point for rules promulgated by state regulatory agencies. Agency rulemaking is governed by Chapter 120, Florida Statutes, the Administrative Procedures Act. Rules are published in the Florida Administrative Code. The program is also responsible for publishing the Florida Administrative Register.
The mission of the section is to file, preserve, and make available to the public the rules, laws, notices, and other public records it receives. Section staff provide consultation to guide State agencies with respect to the requirements for filing rules and publishing notices. Finally, the section provides continuing access to materials that have long term value.
