FloridaMemory.com Delivers New Online Shopping Feature
TALLAHASSEE –
The State Library and Archives of Florida has launched a new online shopping cart feature on its popular FloridaMemory.com website. Using a computer or mobile device, visitors can choose to purchase any of nearly 200,000 historical Florida images including maps, photographs and postcards. Reproductions may be ordered in a variety of print sizes or as high-resolution digital images.
“The arrival of Florida Memory’s online shopping cart marks a significant turning point for the program,” said Secretary of State Ken Detzner. “It is now easier than ever for users to bring Florida history into their homes or businesses and proudly display images that illustrate the diverse heritage and culture of this state. The addition of this feature exemplifies the Department of State’s commitment to providing high-quality customer service and further demonstrates Florida Memory’s role in providing public access to historically significant records.”
The shopping cart is speedy, secure and seamlessly integrated into FloridaMemory.com. Frequent and first-time visitors alike will appreciate the simplicity of the new ordering process. Customers can choose to create their own accounts or shop as guests. Either way, high quality photographic prints can be shipped to their doorsteps or digital files can be downloaded straight to their computers. The Florida Memory shopping cart allows customers around the world to order images instantly as they search through the vast collection of photographs made available by the State Archives of Florida.
