MEDIA ADVISORY: Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd Media Availability Tomorrow: August 23, 2022
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd will be available to the media to discuss Florida’s 2022 Primary Election tomorrow morning at the Department of State’s R.A. Gray Building at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The press availability will be in the department’s Gallery for Innovation and the Arts on the first floor. Press will need to be prepared to show their press credentials.
Florida’s preliminary election results will be available on Election Night on the Florida Election Watch website, FloridaElectionWatch.Gov. Please be aware that while Florida polls close at 7 p.m., Florida has two time zones. Voting will not be completed statewide until 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET, at which time, preliminary election results will be released. Visitors to the site will be able to track results by county and compare state and county contest results.
Results for the Primary Election will not be official until the Elections Canvassing Commission certifies them on September 1, 2022.
