Mission San Luis Hosts Spring Planting at The Mission

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. –

Secretary of State Cord Byrd invites the public to attend Spring Planting at the Mission this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mission San Luis in Tallahassee.

“April is a wonderful time to start a garden, and experts will be on hand at Mission San Luis to share their gardening knowledge,” said Secretary of State Cord Byrd. “This inaugural event will feature demonstrations and interpreters cultivating period appropriate plants in the site’s gardens.”

Free seeds and plants will be available during the event, Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and food from The Ark FT will be available for purchase. Tallahassee Nurseries, All the Buzz Apiaries and Florida Master Gardener Volunteer Program will be onsite during the program. 

Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 6 to 17. Children under 6 are free.  Admission for seniors over 65 is $3. Mission San Luis is pet and picnic friendly. For more information visit https://www.missionsanluis.org/.
