Department of State Properties Stay Open Despite Federal Government Shutdown
Tallahassee, Florida –
Secretary of State Ken Detzner reminds Floridians and visitors that in spite of the Federal Government shutdown, all Department of State properties remain open to the public.
“While politicians in Washington, DC, sort out the budget crisis, the Florida Department of State employees continue to offer quality customer care to the public at our facilities,” said Secretary of State Ken Detzner. “The Florida State Library, State Archives, Mission San Luis and the Museum of Florida History remain open. If you have not visited these locations before or recently, I invite you to do so. Offering both historical and cultural learning experiences, there is something for every Floridian and visitor to enjoy.”
