MEDIA ADVISORY: Secretary Detzner to Host Press Preview at Museum of Florida History

Secretary of State Ken Detzner and the Museum of Florida History are pleased to announce a press preview of the new temporary exhibit Sun, Sand, and Speed-–Florida Auto Racing.
DATE: Thursday, January 21, 2016
TIME: 11 a.m. to noon
LOCATION: Museum of Florida History, R. A. Gray Building
DESCRIPTION: The Museum of Florida History presents the special exhibit Sun, Sand, and Speed–Florida Auto Racing. The exhibit explores auto racing history from 1903 to the present, including early beach racing pioneers, NASCAR and stock car racing, Sebring and sports car endurance racing, IndyCar racing, and drag racing. Visitors can experience Florida’s racing culture in this thrilling exhibit featuring race cars, drivers’ memorabilia, racing images, videos, and a NASCAR arcade game.
