MEDIA ADVISORY: Secretary of State Ken Detzner Media Availability on Election Day

Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner will be available to the media to discuss Florida’s 2016 Presidential Preference Primary tomorrow morning in the Department of State’s R.A. Gray Building at 9:30 a.m. The press availability will be in the department’s Gallery for Innovation and the Arts on the first floor.
During the media availability, Secretary Detzner will share standard Election Day updates including status reports on polling places from the counties and the resources available to voters. Florida’s preliminary election results will be available on Election Night on the Florida Election Watch website, enight.elections.myflorida.com. Please be aware that while Florida polls close at 7 p.m., Florida has two time zones. Voting will not be completed statewide until 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET, at which time, election results will be released.
Results for the Presidential Preference Primary Election will not be official until the Elections Canvassing Commission meets on Tuesday, March 29.
