America250FL Grant Applications are Open

Deadline for applications is August 6, 2025

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. –

Secretary of State Cord Byrd announced that applications are being accepted for the America250FL grant program. Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill providing $1 million in funding for grants related to America250FL and the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 

“As chair of the America 250 Florida Commission, I look forward to the engaging, patriotic and educational programs these grants will help fund,” said Secretary of State Cord Byrd. “I know they will create lasting memories and serve as a reminder that the freedom we cherish must be preserved for the next generation.”

The grant program is open to Florida public entities and active Florida nonprofits.  There is no match requirement for the America250FL Grant.  More information can be found here: America 250 Florida Grants - Division of Arts and Culture - Florida Department of State.
