Job Title: Artist Residency and Program Manager
Organization: Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA)
Location: New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Position Summary:
The Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) is seeking a highly organized and innovative MARP Program Manager to facilitate the activities of the ACA National Council and manage all aspects of the Master Artists-in-Residence Program (MARP). This role plays a pivotal part in designing, implementing, and continuously improving the MARP program, ensuring it remains a cornerstone of ACA’s mission to nurture artistic excellence and community engagement.
The MARP Program Manager will work closely with the Executive Director, the ACA National Council, and cross-functional team members to ensure the successful planning and execution of ACA residency programs. This individual will also contribute to ACA’s branding, donor relations, and outreach efforts, helping to elevate the organization’s impact and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development and Implementation:
o Redesign and implement MARP 2.0 as a fee-based program with clear oversight and approval processes from the Executive Director and National Council.
o Conduct routine program assessments, including surveys, and implement continuous improvements to enhance cost efficiency, artist performance feedback, and ACA branding.
2. Engagement and Relationship Building:
o Build and maintain strategies for engagement with ACA board members, donors, National Council members, and the local community to strengthen support and participation in ACA initiatives.
3. Residency Program Planning and Coordination:
o Oversee program planning and logistics for all residency programs, collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure seamless execution.
o Prepare and distribute support materials for National Council meetings to facilitate the effective selection of mentoring artists.
o Provide support materials to mentoring artists to assist in the selection of associate artists.
4. Branding and Communications:
o Collaborate with the communications team to contribute to ACA branding efforts, including press releases, story pitches, the annual report, and social media content.
5. Internship Program Management:
o Recruit, train, and oversee interns to assist with MARP program activities, fostering their professional growth while supporting ACA’s operations.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• Program Management and Development: Proven ability to design, implement, and assess program success through data-driven insights and continuous improvement practices.
• Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare impactful materials for a variety of audiences, including artists, donors, and board members.
• Project Planning: Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Budget Management: Experience with effective budgeting and expense management to ensure cost efficiency and resource optimization.
• Team Motivation and Relationship Building: Proven ability to inspire and engage organizational partners, including ACA peers, mentoring artists, associate artists, and third-party contractors.
• Marketing Expertise: Experience in marketing programs to potential mentoring and associate artists, including creating compelling content and leveraging ACA branding.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in cultivating relationships with board members, donors, national council members, and local communities to drive support for ACA’s mission.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with program evaluation tools, survey platforms, and project management software.
• Arts Administration Experience: A strong understanding of nonprofit arts organizations and residency programs is highly desirable.
• Education and Experience:
o Bachelor’s or masters degree in Arts Administration, Communications, Event Planning, or a related field.
o 3+ years of experience in program management, arts administration, or a similar role.
