Description
Bonnet Springs Park is seeking preliminary proposals from qualified artists for the creation of a sculpture of Kirby, the beloved 18-year-old, three-legged cocker spaniel whose remarkable spirit inspired the naming of the park’s event center, the Kirby Center.
This commissioned artwork will be permanently installed at the entrance to the Kirby Center and will serve as a lasting tribute to Kirby’s resilience, loyalty, and capacity to bring joy to all who knew him. As a pet-friendly park whose mission is to enrich the community through nature, culture, recreation, and education, we aim to create a meaningful landmark that embodies the profound connection between people and their pets.
