Description

Martin County’s Art in Public Places program is seeking proposals from professional artists in the region for two distinct elements: a mosaic mural and complementary wayfinding signage to be installed at the newly constructed Manatee Pocket Mooring Field upland facility in Port Salerno, Florida.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) encompasses the following:

· Piece A: A 7 x 6-foot mosaic mural that celebrates the cultural heritage, history, and natural beauty of Port Salerno, a historic fishing village.
· Piece B: Complementary wayfinding signage to highlight and direct visitors to key amenities within the mooring field area on SE Park Drive, including the boardwalk, fishing docks, park facilities, and kayak launch.

Proposals for both pieces will be reviewed and selected jointly. Artists and artist teams may apply. The total maximum budget for the project is $15,000, inclusive of all costs.

Location: Port Salerno, Florida
Eligibility: Open to all professional artists in the region as defined in Art in Public Places Ordinance No. 1103, Chapter 13, General Ordinances, Martin County Code. Experience working in the public realm and with public agencies is a plus. Martin County’s Art in Public Places program encourages artists from diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply.
Budget: $15,000
