The Mission of the Florida Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture is to advance, support, and promote arts and culture to strengthen the economy and quality of life for all Floridians.

Strategic Plan
Culture Builds Florida’s Future is the Florida Council on Arts and Culture’s strategic plan for the continuing development of arts and culture in the State of Florida and the tremendous benefits they bring to the state’s economy. The plan is a product of extensive input from the business community and the cultural constituency.

Partners
The Division of Arts and Culture works with the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, a 15-member advisory council appointed to advise the Secretary of State regarding cultural grant funding and on matters pertaining to culture in Florida, and Citizens for Florida Arts, Inc., an organization created to enhance the efforts of the Division and help foster recognition of the arts in Florida.
