A. Jermaine Ford
A. Jermaine Ford is a native Floridian and holds the rank of Major with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He currently oversees the Field Operations Bureau, which encompasses several divisions.
Before joining the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, he started his career with the Boynton Beach Police Department for the City of Boynton Beach, Florida. He is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville and a graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP) at Boston University.
On August 22, 2023, Mr. Ford was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Board of Directors.
Mr. Ford earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Mississippi.
